Anthropic Just Put $100M Into Training the People Who Deploy AI

AI News Enterprise AI

The scarce resource in enterprise AI isn't the model. It's the people who can deploy it.

Anthropic seems to agree.

What happened

On October 2, Anthropic launched the Claude Frontier Academy. It committed $100 million to train 10,000 “Frontier Deployed Engineers” by the end of 2027, according to news coverage.

How it works

  1. A 12-week residency, modeled on medical training.
  2. Hands-on work alongside Anthropic engineers on simulated enterprise deployments.
  3. Each engineer then leads a real Claude project inside their own organization.

The first cohorts are reportedly running in San Francisco, New York and London, with people from firms like Accenture, Deloitte, McKinsey and Morgan Stanley.

Why a business owner should care

Buying an AI tool is easy. Making it change a process, a team and a result is hard.

That gap has a name: deployment. And it is exactly where most AI projects stall.

Ask any vendor one question: who on your side makes this work in my business?

The bigger picture

When a model company spends $100 million on people, not models, the message is clear. The next phase of AI is not about who has the smartest model. It is about who can turn it into results.

Skills are the new moat.
